190-й день повномасштабної війни в Україні. Сьогодні ми вперше святкуємо День знань під звуки повітряних тривог та постійні загрози прильоту крилатих ракет. Попри все, двері нашого Університету, як і тисяч інших навчальних закладів, відчиняються сьогодні для студентів та здобувачів. Адже немає такої зброї, що подолає жагу до знань, силу духовності, наукового пошуку, культурної ідентичності. Ми захоплюємося сміливістю та наснагою усіх учнів, здобувачів, викладачів та вихователів, що розпочинають сьогодні цей навчальний рік. Ми щиро вдячні всім українським захисникам, які стримують ворога та дають нам можливість навчати, виховувати, досліджувати. Наші думки і молитви із тими, хто боронить нашу державу на передовій, в окопах та в тилу. Адже для нас найстрашніше залізо – не ракети, літаки, танки, а кайдани. Ми обираємо окопи, а не окови. І ми піднімемо руки вгору лише один раз – коли святкуватимемо нашу Перемогу. Всією Україною. Кожен з нас Воїн! Станьте поруч із нами!

Цифри дня:
- російські загарбники пошкодили 2400 навчальних закладів із початку повномасштабної війни, з них 270 зруйновано повністю, – Міністерство освіти і науки України.
- Ситуація на фронтах не зазнала суттєвих змін: росіяни безуспішно намагалися наступати на півночі Харківської області, а також на Бахмутському, Авдіївському та Новопавлівському напрямках. Українські захисники дали гідну відсіч окупантам.
- Зранку 1 вересня повідомляється про ракетний удар по Одеській області. Попередньо, без жертв.

- В окупованому Маріуполі окупанти планують забетонувати останки загиблих, які не витягли з-під завалів драмтеатру, – апарат головнокомандувача Збройних Сил України з посиланням на мешканців Маріуполя.
- Місія МАГАТЕ вирушила з Запоріжжя до АЕС попри повідомлення про інтенсивний обстріл міста.
- Міністри закордонних справ ЄС вирішили повністю зупинити угоду про спрощення візового режиму з рф, – Верховний комісар ЄС з питань зовнішньої політики Жозеп Боррель. Польща, Естонія, Литва та Латвія реалізують низку заходів, щоб скоротити кількість громадян рф, які в’їжджають на територію Шенгенської зони.
- 23 тисячі тон української пшениці за Продовольчою програмою ООН вже прибули в порт Джибуті і будуть доставлені в Ефіопію, де зараз найгірша посуха за останні 40 років і мільйони людей – на межі голоду.

Що важливо знати про ситуацію в Україні станом на 1 вересня:
ЗАПОРІЖЖЯ. Росіяни завдали нових ударів по окупованому Енергодару, куди зараз направляється місія МАГАТЕ для інспектування Запорізької АЕС. Як повідомляє «Енергоатом», під мінометним обстрілом опинилася і сама атомна станція. Як повідомляють представники місії, вони не мають наміру зупинятися і вже майже дісталися окупованого міста. Крім того, за даними мера Мелітополя Івана Федорова, на південь від окупованого міста сталося щонайменше десять вибухів у локації, куди російські сили звозили військову техніку.
ХАРКІВ. Місцева влада повідомила про обстріл Київського району вдень 31 серпня. Удару зазнало одне з підприємств міста, виникла пожежа. Інформація про постраждалих уточнюється.

ДНІПРО. Ніч в регіоні пройшла неспокійно. Обласна військова адміністрація повідомляє про російські обстріли з “Градів” по Нікополю та Кривому Рогу.
ДОНЕЦЬКА ОБЛАСТЬ. В регіоні тривають інтенсивні бої. За останню добу на Донеччині загинули четверо людей, ще двох було поранено. Окупанти обстріляли понад 10 населених пунктів. У Краматорську та Слов’янську були влучання у житловий сектор.
Ми пишаємося сьогодні кожним, хто своїми діями, словами чи просто тихою молитвою наближає нашу спільну перемогу над ворогом! Ми на своїй землі і з нами правда, перемога і незалежність! Слава Україні!

The 190th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine. Today we celebrate Knowledge Day for the first time to the sound of air raids and the constant threat of incoming cruise missiles. Despite everything, our University’s doors, like thousands of other educational institutions, are open today to students and aspirants. There is no weapon that can defeat the thirst for knowledge, the power of spirituality, scientific inquiry and cultural identity. We admire the courage and enthusiasm of all the students, applicants, teachers and educators starting the academic year today. We are grateful to all the Ukrainian defenders who hold back the enemy and allow us to teach, educate, and explore. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who defend our state on the front lines, in the trenches and on the home front. After all, for us, the worst iron is not missiles, planes, tanks, but chains. And we raise our hands up only once – when we celebrate our Victory all over Ukraine. Each of us is a Warrior! Please stand with us!

- russian invaders have damaged 2,400 educational institutions since the start of full-scale war, 270 of them completely destroyed – Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
- The situation on the fronts has not changed significantly: the russians tried unsuccessfully to advance in the north of the Kharkiv region, as well as in Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivsk directions. The Ukrainian defenders gave a decent repulse to the occupiers.

- On the morning of 1 September, a missile strike was reported in the Odesa region. Preliminary, no casualties.
- In occupied Mariupol, the invaders will concretise the remains of the dead under the rubble of the Drama Theatre, the AFU Office of the Commander-in-Chief said with reference to Mariupol residents.
- IAEA mission left Zaporizhzhya for NPP despite reports of heavy shelling of the city.
- EU foreign ministers have decided to stop the visa facilitation agreement with russia – EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell. Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia are implementing measures to reduce the number of russian citizens entering the Schengen area.

- 23 thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat under the UN Food Programme have already arrived in the port of Djibouti and will be delivered to Ethiopia, where there has been the worst drought in the last 40 years, and millions of people are on the verge of starvation.
What is important to know about the situation in Ukraine as of 1 September:
ZAPORIZHZHYA. The russians have struck again at the occupied Energodar, where an IAEA mission is now on its way to inspect the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. According to Eknergoatom, the nuclear plant has also come under mortar fire. IAEA representatives said they do not intend to stop and have almost reached the occupied city. In addition, according to Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov, at least ten explosions occurred south of the occupied city in a location where Russian forces were taking military equipment.

KHARKIV. Local authorities reported shelling of the Kievsky district on 31 August. One of the city’s businesses was hit, and a fire broke out. Information about casualties is being clarified.
DNIPRO. It was a rough night in the region. The regional military administration reports the russian Grad fire on Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih.
DONETSK REGION. Intense fighting continues in the region. Four people have been killed and two more wounded in Donetsk Region over the past 24 hours. The occupants shelled more than ten settlements. In Kramatorsk and Slovyansk, there were hits in the residential sector.
