239-й день повномасштабної війни в Україні. Європейський парламент присудив головну нагороду ЄС у сфері прав людини — премію Сахарова — сміливому народу України. Наша нація дуже довго відшукувала свою об’єднуючу ідею, і нарешті ми вибороли її ціною життя та смерті. Сміливість, свобода, незалежність. Сьогодні і завжди ми шануємо сміливість кожного українського захисника, хто зі зброєю у руках вказує «братньому народу», що йому не місце на українській землі. Пишаємося кожним, хто на своєму робочому місці кожного дня сміливо ліквідує наслідки варварських атак і наближає нашу спільну перемогу. Найтепліші слова підтримки тим сміливим українцям, які, залишаючись у заручниках на окупованих ворогом територіях, плекають думки про Україну і чекають на визволення. Неймовірно вражає сміливість усіх українських дітей, які сьогодні із хоробрістю та спокоєм, вслухаючись у майже ніколи не вщухаючий вий повітряних тривог, продовжують навчатися, зростати, реалізувати свої таланти. Український народ неможливо підкорити чи знищити. Адже Україна – це не просто територія, не тільки ми з вами, а й сама ідея волі та самоповаги, що в крові нашого народу плекається з покоління в покоління. Кожен із нас Воїн! Цифри дня:
- Генштаб ЗСУ: за добу ворог завдав 11 ракетних та 28 авіаційних ударів, здійснив понад 65 обстрілів із реактивних систем залпового вогню. Під ударами перебували понад 25 населених пунктів, у тому числі Бурштин Івано-Франківської області, Ладижин Вінницької області, Зеленодольськ Дніпровської області, Сіверськ, Слов’янськ та Терни Донецької області, Значково Запорізької області та Давидів Брід на Херсонщині.
- Від початку використання ворогом дронів-камікадзе іранського виробництва українські військові вже збили 223 Shahed,- Повітряні Сили України.
- Оголошенням воєнного стану на тимчасово окупованих територіях режим путіна планує скоїти ще один злочин, який повинен засудити світ — секретар РНБО України О.Данілов.

- Інститут дослідження війни (ISW): оголошення окупантів про масове перевезення людей із західного берега Дніпра у Херсонській області частково ставить за мету евакуацію колаборантів в очікуванні неминучого українського наступу. Водночас російська влада використовує гуманітарні підстави, щоб прикрити депортацію значної маси українського населення до рф.
- Посли країн-членів ЄС схвалили санкції проти Ірану через залучення до війни в Україні на боці росії.
Що важливо знати про ситуацію в Україні станом на 20 жовтня:
ВІННИЦЯ. Внаслідок російських обстрілів 19 жовтня повідомлялося про чергове влучання по об’єкту критичної інфраструктури в регіоні. Серед людей постраждалих немає.

ІВАНО-ФРАНКІВСЬК. Обласна військова адміністрація повідомила про ракетний обстріл Бурштинської ТЕС, де виникла масштабна пожежа. Ця станція знаходиться на перетині ліній електропередач, що з’єднують Україну з Угорщиною, Румунією та Словаччиною.
ЧЕРНІГІВ. Минулої доби українські захисники збили поблизу села Кіпті у Чернігівському районі дві ракети. Один з випущених росіянами дронів-камікадзе спричинив у місті вибух. Двоє людей перебувають у важкому стані після атаки.
ДНІПРО. Вночі окупанти завдали удару по промисловому підприємству та об’єкту енергетичної інфраструктури в Кривому Розі, руйнації серйозні. За попередньою інформацією, люди не постраждали.

ЗАПОРІЖЖЯ. Внаслідок обстрілу міста Оріхів поранено 8 цивільних, повідомили в обласній військовій адміністрації. Обстріл тривав майже сім годин, зруйновано приватні будинки, будинок міськради, навчального закладу, відсутня електрика та вода. Зранку 20 жовтня російські загарбники завдали ракетного удару по території дитячої спеціалізованої школи в селищі міського типу Комишуваха. Інформація про постраждалих уточнюється.
МИКОЛАЇВ. Вночі один із навчальних закладів міста атакували чотири «Shahed-136». Ще один дрон упав на закриту приватну територію. В результаті виникли дві пожежі. Даних щодо постраждалих немає. Командування Повітряних сил тим часом повідомляє, що вночі в Миколаївській області вдалося збити 14 безпілотників.
Ми пишаємося сьогодні кожним, хто своїми діями, словами чи просто тихою молитвою наближає нашу спільну перемогу над ворогом! Ми на своїй землі і з нами правда, перемога і незалежність! Слава Україні!

239th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine. The European Parliament awarded the EU’s top human rights award – the Sakharov Prize – to the brave people of Ukraine. Our nation has been searching for its unifying idea for a long time, and finally, we have won it at the cost of life and death — courage, freedom, and independence. Today and always, we honour the courage of every Ukrainian defender who, with arms in hand, shows the “brotherly people” that they have no place on Ukrainian land. We are proud of everyone who bravely eliminates the consequences of brutal attacks at their workplace every day and brings our joint victory closer. Warmest words of support to those brave Ukrainians who, remaining hostages in the enemy-occupied territories, cherish thoughts about Ukraine and wait for liberation. It is awe-inspiring the courage of all Ukrainian children who today, with bravery and calmness, listening to the almost constant air raid alarms, continue to study, grow and realise their talents. Ukrainian people cannot be conquered or destroyed. After all, Ukraine is not just a territory or people but also the very idea of freedom and self-respect, which is cherished in the blood of our people from generation to generation. - General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: during the day, the enemy carried out 11 missiles and 28 air strikes and made more than 65 attacks from multiple rocket launchers. - Institute for the Study of War (ISW): the occupiers’ announcement of the mass transportation of people from the western bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region is partly aimed at evacuating collaborators in anticipation of an inevitable Ukrainian offensive. At the same time, the Russian authorities are using humanitarian grounds to cover up the deportation of a large part of the Ukrainian population to Russia.

- Ambassadors of the EU member states approved sanctions against Iran for its involvement in the war in Ukraine on the side of Russia.
What is important to know about the situation in Ukraine as of October 20:
VINNYTSIA. As a result of russian shelling on October 19, another hit was reported on a critical infrastructure facility in the region. There were no casualties among people.
IVANO- FRANKIVSK. The regional military administration reported a rocket attack on the Burshtyn thermal power plant, which caused a large-scale fire. This station is located at the intersection of power lines connecting Ukraine with Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
CHERNIHIV. Yesterday Ukrainian defenders shot down two missiles near the village of Kipti in the Chernihiv district. One of the russian kamikaze drones caused an explosion in the town. Two people are in serious condition after the attack.

DNIPRO. At night, the occupiers struck an industrial enterprise and an energy infrastructure facility in Kryvyi Rih; the destruction was severe. According to preliminary information, people were not injured.
ZAPORIZHZHIA. 8 civilians were wounded in the shelling of Orikhiv, the regional military administration reported. The shelling lasted for almost seven hours; private houses, the town council building, and an educational institution were destroyed, and there was no electricity and water supply. On the morning of October 20, russian invaders launched a missile attack on the territory of a specialised children’s school in the urban-type settlement of Komyshuvakha. Information about the victims is being clarified.

MYKOLAIV. At night, one of the city’s educational institutions was attacked by four Shahed-136s. Another drone fell on a closed private territory. As a result, two fires broke out. There is no information about the victims. Meanwhile, the Air Force Command reports that 14 drones were shot down at night in the Mykolaiv region.
